MICHAEL D. DOHERTY, DDS, FAACP

For 25 years, Dr. Doherty has been in private practice. He pushes his educational boundaries by staying up-to-date with professional education. His post-graduate courses top 2,000 hours of dentistry, TMJ and sleep education. He has studied under world-renowned instructors and is a graduate of the famous Las Vegas Institute for Dental Studies. Most recently, Dr. Doherty became a fellow of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain.

Dr. Doherty's practice philosophy is a conservative, non-surgical approach to treatment utilizing physicians and other health care professionals anytime multi-disciplinary treatment is needed for the holistic “head to toe” overall health of his patients.

Dr. Doherty received his dental degree in 1985 from the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry. He also holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Rockhurst University.

As an experienced hygienist for 28 years, and a resident of the Roaring Fork Valley for 17 years – raising a family, biking, hiking, camping, and spending time with good friends -- she is convinced that Carbondale is the town for people who want to live and work together in a beautiful place, and her partnership with Dr. Doherty in and out of the office makes that all possible.

My name is Yudi and I have worked with Dr. Dohery for 9 years and counting. Dental assisting has been my passion and I love helping make a difference in patient’s lives. Dentistry is always changing and it keeps it fun and interesting especially when your doctor wants to keep up with the latest and greatest technology.

Other than dentistry, I am a mom to a handsome, active 2-year-old toddler. I have lived in this valley my whole life and I enjoy working in the cute town of Carbondale. Paddleboarding, hiking and traveling are my other hobbies.

Teena

As a certified dental assistant with over 25 years of experience, she loves to see a great smile, and the confidence it brings to the patients. When providing caring and professional appointments she is focusing on the best way to maintain and create your smile.

As a Roaring Fork Valley native, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and being involved with horse showing and 4-H. She also loves all the beautiful views and things to do in our great valley.
